I was taking photos of a recycling plant with a friend of mine, throwing shreds of paper in the air and watching It fall to the ground when I heard laughing coming from the other side of the railroad tracks. It was 4 people enjoying life in their little home. But they are what most people might call homeless.

“most people walk bye and point……. they are afraid…. But we are not bad people, we have jobs” I told _____ that I was jealous of his freedom, and that I respected his ability to live life different than a lot of people. He seemed to like what I had to say. ________ told me about his job at a laundry mat, and his friend who work as a construction worker.

They offered my friend apple juice, water or beer.

They were ordinary people doing ordinary things, just in a way that seemed pretty unordinary.
